Deal of the Day!! Full Price on all Damaged items! Don’t you love it when you find the shoes or clothes in stock? The best part is when they are on sale! You immediately rush to the checkout line excited to add it to your collection. While you are in line, you notice that your soon to be favorite item has a rip, hole, or dark mark on it that should not be there. The sales representative expresses that they do not have another one in stock. The item is officially damaged goods and no one wants damaged goods. Click To Tweet The sales rep tries to persuade you to purchase the damaged item but you’d rather find another store that has the same item with no holes, snags or damaging marks.

Have you ever experienced a time where you felt like damaged goods? Click To Tweet Where something has happened in your life that resulted in a feeling of brokenness.

  1. Lost job
  2. Failed in school
  3. Sexually Abused
  4. Broken-hearted
  5. Rejected
  6. Divorced
  7. Shamed…

The list can go on and on where there has been a snag, rip or hole in your life that you feel cannot be mended. You try to cover it up but someone or even yourself noticed the damaged pieces which force you to remain on the sales rack. I want to encourage you that you are not alone and we can either remain on the sales rack saying “I am damaged” or become rebuilt.

“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”  Psalm 34:18 (NLT)

We are God’s Masterpiece

At the beginning of time, God created male and female in His image. (Genesis 1:27) He created each and every one of us for a divine purpose that will give God glory. You are not a mistake; you are a masterpiece created by God to impact the earth through your gifts and talents that He has given you.

Throughout our lives, we may have gone through circumstances that have left us feeling less and less like a masterpiece. We may have become damaged or have broken pieces that no one will want to buy. These damaged moments are the most powerful moments of all because in the midst of brokenness God wants to rebuild us to be greater than before.

We are Priceless

The moment we are left on the sales rack with our price being dropped down until we are potentially going to be thrown away, Jesus walks in. He knows exactly what He wants and it is you. He is told by the sales rep that the item is ripped, soiled and cannot be returned. Jesus does not care what you have gone through or how damaged you are. Jesus will not pay the sales price but the full price for you. He is willing to mend, sew, and restore every single damaged part to make you whole again. Jesus Christ wants to rebuild you!

“And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests.” 1 Peter 2:5 (NLT)

The broken and damaged parts of your life are part of your story and you have the opportunity with Jesus Christ to surrender those broken pieces. To allow God to mend those pieces and use what you thought was bad to turn into good for the Glory of God.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” (Genesis 50:20 NIV)

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 NIV)

Let’s start this journey of rebuilding together! Let’s turn our:

Shame into unashamed
Unforgiveness to forgiveness
Sadness into joy
Rejection into Acceptance
Brokenness into Rebuilding!

“We were once damaged but now We are Rebuilt through Jesus Christ!”
