Rev. Ebony S. Small is the Director of Movement Day Expressions for The New York City Leadership Center (NYCLC). Movement Day is a catalytic gathering of Christian leaders seeking to transform their city through gospel movements. Over 14,000 leaders have attended this annual gathering since its inception in 2010.
Ebony was named Co-Catalyst for Cities with The Lausanne Movement in 2016, and is a member of the NYCLC’s Global Cities Leadership Community. Ebony consults and provides coaching to the leadership of 20 cities as they develop their Movement Day Expressions. She is working to build engagement by millennials in city gospel movements and to that end serves as a mentor for the Lausanne Movement’s Young Leaders Gathering and also serves on the Advisory Board of Cru NYC Millennials.
Ebony is an elder at Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc. in New York City. She received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and a Master Professional Studies degree with a concentration in pastoral counseling from Nyack College’s AllianceTheological Seminary. She resides in the Bronx, NY.
Ebony has journeyed with The NYCLC since 2011 playing an integral role in the growth and development of Movement Day Expressions across the globe. For three years she gave direct leadership to Movement Day gatherings in New York City. Her passion is to be positioned by God in bringing forth the transformative power of the Gospel to the lives of people through mentoring, leadership training and ultimately collaborative partnership-building
impacting communities, cities and the globe for the cause of Christ.
