Lance loves traveling, going to Broadway musicals and anything tourist related. He also enjoys competing in endurance running events. He has completed several marathons and endurance events.
Lance doesn’t like eating folded potato chips, most green things (though he’s working on that one), and he wears his socks inside out. He is a pizza and frozen yogurt connoisseur and always accepts invites to try new types and styles. (Invites welcomed)
Lance also founded a non profit called “RunAnyway”, after the NYC marathon was canceled in November 2012.
After the short notice cancellation, friends Lance and Craig, having raised money for charity, decided they needed to fulfil their marathon miles. However, they decided that they would run in Central Park, using the example of the original NYC marathon back in the 1970’s.
It started as a Facebook movement, “Run Anyway NYC Marathon 2012” and immediately drew attention and support by hundreds of others.
To keep our charitable efforts going, we asked our runners to please bring any charitable donations to the start line in aid of our collective effort for Hurricane Sandy relief in Staten Island. In connection with Renaissance Church in Summit, NJ, we were able to raise more than $16,000. We were also able to fill more than 5 SUV’s full of clothes, food, and supplies for people still recovering in the hardest hit areas of Staten Island.
Riding on the success of ‘RunAnyway NYC Marathon 2012’, we formed the RunAnyway Foundation. We continue our efforts by running for meaningful charities.
